Diab distribution agreement...

Core materials manufacturer DIAB has signed a global distribution agreement with French syntactic foam producer BMTI. The agreement will give DIAB a complete product offering to the offshore and subsea markets.

Johan Gralén, DIAB’s Executive Vice President Sales, sees this as a very strategic agreement: “There is a very good fit between the two companies as BMTI syntactic foams perfectly complement the existing DIAB Divinycell range. Together with our existing Divinycell HCP grade we will able to offer a range of materials that can be used at depths as deep as 10,000 metres (33,000 ft.). This will increase the value we bring to our customers in the offshore and subsea segment. Furthermore, it also enables us to provide solutions for a far wider range of applications as well as offering improved performance in a number of areas.”

The CEO of BMTI, Jean-Marc Billaud, further commented: “This agreement is a very important step for BMTI. Working via DIAB’s global network of 17 customer support operations we will be able to significantly increases our market coverage”.

DIAB will be supplying BMTI’s full range of syntactic foams through all its sales subsidiaries with immediate effect.
